Disney's Haunted Mansion Opens Its Doors to Weddings

Starting July 2026, couples can say ‘I do’ at Disneyland’s most beloved spooky attraction. The Haunted Mansion Courtyard becomes Disney’s newest wedding venue.

A Spooky Twist on Happily Ever After

For the first time, Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons is adding Haunted Mansion Courtyard to its collection of more than a dozen wedding venues at Disneyland Resort. Ceremonies at the Haunted Mansion Courtyard will take place early in the morning, before Disneyland opens to guests for the day. The space can host up to 25 guests, making it ideal for smaller, more intimate weddings or vow renewals. This marks a departure from traditional Disney fairy tale settings, embracing gothic romance instead.

What’s Included in Your Haunted Wedding

Each ceremony package includes an officiant, light décor, professional photography, and transportation to and from a Disneyland Resort hotel. The venue itself provides drama with its iconic columns and ghostly charm, the courtyard offers a dramatic and unforgettable setting for couples looking to celebrate their love in true Disney fashion. Bookings can now be made for dates in July 2026 and beyond.

Taking the Haunted Theme to Sea

Disney isn’t stopping at land-based ceremonies. Couples interested in a Haunted Mansion-themed wedding at sea will be able to marry inside the Haunted Mansion Parlor aboard the Disney Destiny, the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, starting in May 2026. The parlor features eerie details, shifting portraits, and a story centered around a ghostly sea captain and his mysterious bride. This nautical option gives couples another way to incorporate their favorite spooky attraction into their special day.

Why Haunted Mansion Appeals to Modern Couples

“Couples today are looking for a destination wedding venue with unique storytelling so that it reflects their passions and interests,” Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons Marketing Director Korri McFann said in a statement. “Haunted Mansion has always been a fan favorite, and we’re delighted to bring their dream wedding to life!” Haunted Mansion appeals to Disney fans drawn to darker, spookier aesthetics rather than traditional princess themes. The attraction’s gothic romance, Victorian architecture, and supernatural storytelling create meaningful connections.

A New Chapter for Disney Weddings

Both offerings tap into the deep affection fans have for the Haunted Mansion attraction, which has been a staple of Disneyland since opening in 1969 and remains one of the park’s most atmospheric and detailed experiences. The venue addition reflects Disney’s willingness to diversify wedding offerings beyond traditional fairy tale settings, acknowledging varied aesthetic preferences among couples seeking Disney weddings. For couples who’ve always dreamed of incorporating Disney’s most beloved spooky attraction into their wedding day, this new venue makes those dreams reality.
