After ten months of meticulous renovation, Disneyland’s most celebrated restaurant is ready to welcome guests back with a completely reimagined dining experience.
A Quarter-Century Legacy Gets a Fresh Start
Napa Rose officially reopened on February 6, 2026, marking the end of a 10-month closure that began in April 2025. The timing couldn’t be more perfect – the restaurant is celebrating its 25th anniversary, making this transformation both a homecoming and a new beginning.
Reservations have been booking solid through March, with Disney hosting media previews that have only heightened anticipation. What started as a planned fall 2025 reopening stretched into early 2026, but the wait appears to have been worth it.
Three Distinct Experiences Under One Roof
The renovated Napa Rose isn’t just one restaurant anymore – it’s three carefully crafted experiences. The Bar & Lounge operates on a walk-in basis, featuring a new fireplace, intimate seating, and an expanded outdoor patio where guests can enjoy craft cocktails and small bites.
The Main Dining Room offers the classic experience with a seasonal prix fixe menu, where diners can choose between indoor seating surrounded by a 1,500-bottle wine collection or outdoor terrace dining. Prices range from $188 to $250 per person, with optional wine pairings at $150, $300, or $500.
For the first time, the Chef’s Counter experience can be booked online, seating 18 guests directly in front of the exhibition kitchen for a personalized tasting menu.
Design That Honors California’s Wine Country
The redesign draws inspiration from California’s Arts and Crafts tradition while honoring the history, people, and nature of the Napa Valley, with details that pay homage to the colors and textures of the region.
Natural textures dominate the space, including reclaimed French oak flooring and columns – the same type of wood used to make wine barrels – along with hand-pinged artisan metals, leathers, deep cabernet colors, and an eye-catching chandelier inspired by California’s Mission grapevines. The exhibition kitchen has been expanded with more counter seating, while the outdoor patio offers enhanced al fresco dining.
A Menu That Balances Tradition and Innovation
Chef Andrew Sutton, who has been at Napa Rose’s helm since its 2001 opening, worked alongside Executive Chef Clint Chin to develop exciting culinary offerings that highlight seasonal produce and pay homage to California wine country cuisine while infusing international ingredients, textures, and flavors.
The restaurant now offers two distinct dining approaches: fixed-price tasting menus in the main dining room and a la carte sampling in the bar and lounge. The menu showcases dishes like Oak Roasted Forest Mushrooms with Kyoto Carrot, Sorpresine Pasta with California Crab Broth, and Wild Boar Agnolotti with Tuscan Kale.
More Than Just a Restaurant Reopening
For many travelers, especially repeat visitors, Disneyland is no longer just about rides – food has become a way to mark time, celebrate milestones, and create memories that feel personal rather than programmed, and Napa Rose’s reopening reinforces that shift.
The restaurant isn’t designed to be flashy or viral – it’s designed to be dependable, thoughtful, and quietly excellent, which matters for travelers who value experiences that feel earned rather than marketed. Reservations became available on January 27, 2026, and are expected to book quickly, with the restaurant enforcing a formal dress code.
This isn’t just about getting Disney’s finest restaurant back online. It’s about preserving something special while making it better – a delicate balance that Napa Rose seems to have achieved beautifully.
